Seminars

Common Sense Financial Ministries offers a seminar about discovering Godly direction and purpose for your financial life

This uplifting seminar is anchored to four Christ-taught principles:

  • Relationship (Acts 3:1-8)

  • Ownership (Matthew 19:16-22)

  • People (Luke 10:30-37)

  • Eternity (Luke 12:16-21)

One characteristic exists among God's people today, we seem to have drifted from God's principles with regard to our finances. Through this seminar thousands have been blessed and challenged to include God back into their financial planning picture.

The focus sits squarely on an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ and finding a renewed hope. Attendees laugh and cry but leave changed to live for Jesus with their money.

The seminar was birthed through a man who got desperate financially. Jack, a Christian his whole life, earned a lot of money but never could get his footing financially, until he began to discover God's way for planning his finances. Dozens of real life testimonies of God's faithfulness, coupled with great passion, makes this seminar real and challenging. Jack feels a real call on his life to encourage believers to rediscover God's way in their finances.

It can be tailored to a variety of timeframes; from a 1-hour session to three 3-hour sessions. Sometimes we are able to offer an optional one on one meeting to help people in more personal ways with their finances through counseling, advice and also proper financial planning.

This financial flowchart for Christians begins with the recognition and acceptance of an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. Everything begins here. With a clear understanding of the blood and cross of Jesus Christ, it will be easy flow into the importance of the four anchors that follow; Relationship, Ownership, People and Eternity (ROPE).

Scripture backs all four anchors and they need to be understood through the finished work of Christ. The result of embracing an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ and these four anchors is that we become a steward, a representative and a manager for him. We divide stewardship into a spiritual response and a practical response. The spiritual response is in living a life that reflects contentment and giving.

The practical response includes the physical management of money as well as preparing our estates. This section is usually very welcomed as it speaks to practical issues like debt management, investing, risk planning, charitable giving and retirement considerations.

Over all, this seminar will touch hearts and encourage God's people to manage their money in a Biblical, Christ-centered way. Quite often we have an altar call (only if pastors agree) where people get to rededicate their finances to the Kingdom of God. We have seen hundred upon hundreds rededicate their financial lives to include Jesus Christ. Call us to book your seminar.
